The C Division race ended in dramatic fashion in the heat yesterday
morning. The Eagles down 8-4 entering the 7th inning, rallied for seven
runs and shut down the CoStars in the bottom half to win the division and the
coveted winners shirts. The Rockers downed the Eagles, 4-3, in the second
game.
There are still lots of dates available for the
Rockers-PJ's Sports games if those teams are interested in playing. Besides
Wednesdays and Fridays, the Tuesday-Thursday AM league will complete play on
July 15, and the Monday AM league on July 19.
The Commissioner extends his sincere appreciation to
all the players, the managers, John Rice and his umpiring crew, the Park and
Planning staff and the field crews, and everyone else who made the season
possible.
We will hold our annual fall post-season evaluation
meeting, probably in late September. Please poll your players for ideas
about how to make our league even better, and make sure that your team is
represented at the meeting.
Finally, don't forget to attend the MCSSA picnic on
July 17.
