On a clear, but cold November 2nd evening the tuesday 50+ Senior
Softball season officially concluded. Several surprises some upsets,
but a good time nonetheless.

The 6:15 game saw the #3 seed Marauders edge a fiesty #6 seed Union
Jacks by the score of 15-14.

The two 7:15 games saw #4 seed, Motley Crew edge #5 seed Meyers
Meighan by the score of 14-10.
Meanwhile the #7 seed Nats upset the #2 seed Stylers by a score of
22-11.

The 8:15 games saw another upset as the league champion Hamel team
fell to #4 seed Motley Crew (despite 2 mamouth home runs by Stu Levy)
21-11. Timely hitting and excellent defense (3 crisp double plays),
lead Motley Crew to the Championship game.
The other entry game into the finals saw the Marauders handle the
upset minded Nats 22-11.

The championship gems saw, yet more controversy, as the upset minded
Motley Crew took a 12-4 lead into the 5th inning. Showing their
mettle, the Marauders scored 5 runs in the top of the 6th to make the
score 12-9. Motley Crew answered with one run, and with 2 out in the
bottom of the 6th inning when.... the lights went out. It was
10:45pm. the NSA umpires immediately referred the game to the last
complete inning and the final score was officially 12-4.

thanks to the managers, the players and the umpires for an exciting,
if controversial Fall Softball season.
